BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The ULM track & field team overcame rainy conditions and a two-hour lightning delay on Saturday in its final regular-season meet at the Samford Invitational. Despite the poor conditions, senior Clint Broussard earned his third win of the season in the men's high jump to lead the way for the Warhawks, who will take two weeks off before heading to the Sun Belt Outdoor Championships May 10-12 in Miramar, Fla.
Broussard cleared 2.05 meters on his second attempt to earn his third victory in the high jump this season. The Lafayette, La., native continues to lead the Sun Belt with a best jump of 2.13 meters.
Sophomore Teona Glave set a personal record in the women's 800-meter run for the second straight week with a time of 2:12.19 as she finished in third place. It's the third fastest time in the Sun Belt this season and sets her up nicely for the SBC Championships.
