MONROE, La. – First-year ULM head baseball coach
Michael Federico released his team's 55-game 2018 schedule on Wednesday, Nov. 15. The schedule features 27 home games, including an eight-game homestand to open the season.

The Warhawks will play 23 games against opponents that won 30 or more games last season, including NCAA Tournament participants South Alabama (three-game series) and Arkansas (two-game series).

ULM opens the 2018 season with an eight-game homestand at Warhawk Field, including a three-game series against Eastern Illinois (Feb. 16-18), a single-game against Northwestern State (Feb. 20) and a four-game series against Northern Kentucky (Feb. 23-25; Feb. 24 doubleheader).

ULM's non-conference slate includes four other midweek games against Louisiana Tech (March 7), Jackson State (March 27), McNeese (April 24) and Grambling (May 1).

The Warhawks have non-conference road trips to Southern Illinois (three-game series, March 2-4) and Stephen F. Austin (three-game series, March 9-11).

ULM's five Sun Belt home series are against Arkansas State (March 23-25), Texas State (April 6-8), Appalachian State (April 20-22), Georgia State (May 4-6) and Troy (May 11-13). The Warhawks' conference road series include trips to South Alabama (March 16-18), UT Arlington (March 29-31), Little Rock (April 13-15), Coastal Carolina (April 27-29) and UL Lafayette (May 17-19). ULM does not play Georgia Southern during the regular season.

"We've put together a very challenging schedule and we're excited to see our student-athletes compete," Coach Federico said. "We've assembled a balanced schedule, with 27 home dates and 28 away games. We'll have an opportunity to play in some great venues on the road this season, and we look forward to our fan base filling Warhawk Field. We'll need their vocal support to help carry us through some tough home games."

The 2018 Sun Belt Baseball Championship will be held May 22-27 in Lafayette, Louisiana.
