Softball Complex

For over 30 years, the ULM Softball Complex has been the home to the ULM softball team. Located adjacent to Brown Stadium, the ULM Softball Complex was once the home of the ULM baseball team in the 1970s and early 1980s.

In 2002, students of the ULM Construction Department, under the direction of Mr. Bobby Ensminger and Dr. David Manry, began work on new locker room facilities. The softball program also got a boost from the Monroe-West Monroe Convention and Visitors Bureau in 2005. The CVB made donation of $122,500 to aid in the renovations of the ULM Softball Complex.

In 2021, construction began on the Stangier-Young Leadership Center, a multipurpose $1.5 million venue including a film room, locker room facilities and a new covered bullpen. The softball program collected more than $1.1 million in private donations, including $300,000 each from lead benefactors Gretchen Stangier and Carol Young. Completed in 2022 and combined with a new turf field, the Warhawks continue to improve on their facilities and create a highly competitive atmosphere.

In 2025, the newest upgrade to the Softball Complex was unveiled: a deck surrounding the outfield for student fans to experience ULM Softball. In the opening weekend of the new deck, ULM Softball saw a record-breaking crowd of 1,453 against Texas State.
