The ULM Athletics Communications Department serves as the liaison between the Warhawks' 16 athletic teams and local, state and national media outlets. The staff works closely with the coaches, student-athletes and University to enhance the publicity efforts and showcase the accomplishments of ULM student-athletes in competition, the classroom and community.
In addition to coordinating news conferences and interviews, ULM Athletics Communications is also responsible for running the social media accounts for each sport, maintaining the ULMWarhawks.com website and providing statistical and historical information to members of the media. ULM Athletics Communications also serves as liaisons for the Sun Belt Conference and NCAA.
MEDIA GUIDELINES
Media Credentials
Credentials for ULM home athletic events, will only be issued to working media outlets. If you wish to obtain credentials, please contact the ULM Athletic Communications Department at least 24 hours prior to the event. Any person wishing to take photos must obtain credentials from the communications department.
Those issued a credential for ULM home athletic events
must have their credential on hand and visible at all times.
Interview Policy
Interview requests for any non-coaching ULM Athletics staff member should be filed with Emma Grace ReVille (reville@ulm.edu) in a timely fashion with at least 24 hours notice. Interview requests for coaches and student-athletes should be filed with communications staff members assigned to each sport program with at least 24 hours notice, per NCAA policy.
All Warhawk coaches and players are normally available for interviews following a 10-minute post-game cool down period, as per NCAA regulations. Please ask a member of the Athletic Communications staff to arrange an interview.
Photography
Expectations of credentialed photographers:
- Photos taken at a ULM/NCAA event should be intended for the sole purpose of the media organization being served by the photographer and not for the photographer’s direct, personal sharing via online or social media channels.
- Photos may not be sold.
- Photographers must adhere to designated shooting areas. At no time may photographers shoot from the team bench area.
- No flash photography at ULM athletic events.
