SAN ANTONIO, Texas?Nathan McMullen sits in a tie for eighth
leading ULM on the opening day of the Roadrunner Intercollegiate Monday at the
Oak Hills Country Club in San Antonio, Texas.
The Warhawks shot a 289-299?588 and sit just three shots out
of third place heading into Tuesday's final round. No. 25 Mississippi State leads the field of 17 teams with a
292-275?567, while No. 18 Texas Tech is in second after shooting a 286-287?573.
McMullen held the lead after the first 18 holes carding a
69, but slipped to eighth at the end of the day after a 75 in the second
round. Eddy Koracevic shot a 75 in the
opening round and an even par 72 in round two finishing in a tie for 21st.
David McKendrick is just one shot back of Koracevic in a tie
for 25th after carding a 71-77?148.
Parker Dire is in the clubhouse tied for 32nd (74-75?149) and
Jeremy Cross sits in 83rd.
Mississippi State's Noah Goldman carded a 73-64?137 and
leads by two strokes over teammate Josh Oller and Texas Tech's Garrett Merrell.
The tournament wraps up tomorrow morning with one round.
