MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala.?ULM's David McKendrick was
named to the All-Sun Belt Team as the Sun Belt Championships concluded
Wednesday at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course. The Warhawks climbed one spot in the standings
to ninth place behind McKendrick's four-under par 68.
The junior Melbourne,
Australia,
native had five birdies during the final round posting the second lowest score
on the day among the field of 60 golfers.
McKendrick finished in a two-way tie for 12th place moving up
from 35th place following the first round.
After struggling through the first two rounds, Nathan
McMullen ended the tournament on a high note carding a one-under 71. The junior finished his final round with four
birdies and just two bogeys to finish tied for 51st.
Denver maintained its second round lead to
claim the team title by one stroke over New
Orleans. South
Alabama's Johnny Caldwell fired a two-under 69 to claim the individual title by
two strokes over Denver's
Daniel Wax.
Parker Dire recovered from a four-over on the front nine to
shoot three-over for the day with three birdies on the back nine finishing tied
for 33rd.
Eddy Koracevic and Jeremy Cross each carded a five-over 77
finishing tied for 26th and 45th, respectively. Koracevic ? ULM's leader through the first two rounds ?
had a pair of birdies on Wednesday while Cross had three birdies all of which
came on the back nine.
