DENTON, Texas - Madeleine Robertson led the
ULM women's cross country team with a thirdplacing showing at the 32nd Annual
North Texas Invitational Friday evening on the Eagle Point Cross-Country Course.
Robertson finished with a 19:42.00 time to claim
her second top-10 finish this season. Kelsie Coats also had a strong showing
taking 13th place with a time of 20:09.00, which was also her third top-15
finish of the year.
As a team the Warhawks finished with 81
points and an average time of 20:33.00 to finish in third. North Texas claimed the team trophy
with 32 points, while Angelo State accumulated 46 points to take runner-up
honors.
Denise Myers and Tyler Blacklock nearly
crossed the finish line together as they had times of 20:39.00 and 20:40.00 to
finish 18th and 19th, respectively. ULM's other two runners, Alexis Krigbaum
finished in 25th with a 21:35.00 time, while Jasmine Garcia placed 32nd with a
time of 22:10.00.
The Warhawk women will next hit the trail on
Oct. 17 at the Arkansas Chile Pepper Festival before they compete at the Sun
Belt Championships on Oct. 31 in Monroe, La.
