Upon retirement, his overall coaching record of 388-258 ranked No. 11 nationally among active coaches. He was 326-221 at ULM, was “Coach of the Year” six times and is in five Halls of Fame. ULM's arena was also renamed Fant-Ewing Coliseum in his honor. Deceased, 1998.
