Bob Cooper
A smooth-swinging lefty, Cooper was the team medal champion for three years with a low of 74.1 as a senior, the same year he was runnerup to Hal Sutton by two strokes in the Trans America Athletic Conference championship tournament. Cooper also brought recognition to ULM by winning the National Lefthanders Tournament in both 1980 and 1981. He ended his university career as ULM's No. 4 all-time player in medal average with 75.6.


Ronnie Fountain

Remembered as one of the gutsiest and fastest Warhawks of all, Fountain produced school records in the 100 (9.4) and 220 (21.0) yard dashes and in 1966 became an all-American by finishing third in the 220 at the NAIA national championships. He won GSC individual championships three times, setting league sprint marks twice and anchoring record breaking relay teams in the 440 and mile. He helped ULM win 28 meet titles in 39 meets during his career. Deceased, 1989.


Jerry Jingles

Standing only 5-11, Jingles had no trouble in the land of the giants. He was a four-year starter and ended his career with 1,716 points, an average of 16.9 per game. As a senior he averaged 20.8 ppg and made all-Louisiana as the Warhawks produced an 18-7 record. Playing while ULM was an independent, Jingles helped win 84 games during his four years and in 1982 landed a spot on ULM's “Golden Anniversary Basketball Team” as voted on by fans.
