The first baseman-outfielder was voted Player of the Year in the GSC in 1968 after batting .346. He was the all-GSC first baseman in 1968-69-70, led the team in home runs three years, left as the career leader in doubles (35) and helped ULM go 109-60 during his four year career, including 35-19 in 1970 when ULM was NAIA national runner-up. Lloyd Crocker
One of the earliest stars of ULM senior college basketball, Crocker is still the only Indian player to win a conference rebounding title when he averaged 13.8 rebounds per game in 1957, the fourth highest average in school history. He is also ULM's No. 3 career rebounder with 1,131 rebounds for an average of 10.28 rebounds per game. As a senior he averaged 16.7 ppg and made first team all-GSC. Deceased, 1994.

Lauri Young Mondschein
One of ULM's most decorated athletes on and off the field, Young Mondschein was a three-time all-American, earned an NCAA post-graduate scholarship and received the top honor the NCAA can give a college athlete: the NCAA Top Six Award for athletic and academic achievement and leadership. In the NCAA Finals, Young Mondschein won the 1985 heptathlon championship and was fourth in the high jump at 6-2. She was also third in the high jump in 1984 and 12th in the 1983 heptathlon event.
