SEDONA, Ariz.-The ULM women's
golf team is in 11th place following the opening round of the Red
Rocks Invitational at the Oak Creek Country Club in Sedona, Ariz. The Warhawks
are within striking distance of a top five finish just nine strokes back.
Freshman Lina Lagergren paced
the Warhawks on Saturday after shooting an 82 to enter the clubhouse in a tie
for 35th. Angela Drane, Taynee Pearson and Lina Billing all carded an
83 and are tied for 44th, while Monica Brown fired an 88 and is
tied for 86th.
Cal Poly has a
five-stroke
lead over North Arizona following the opening round. Cal Poly's Kristin
Locke and Northern Arizona's Aleah Kim are tied for the individual lead
after shooting a 75.
Sunday's final round will get
underway at 8:30 a.m. local time.
