"It was nice to see our team come out and play with the focus and intensity that they did following a long day yesterday," ULM head coach Terrence De Jongh said. "It is not easy to play three matches in two days, but it will make us stronger as we head into the heart of schedule."

In doubles, Claire Clark and Monica Winkel made quick work on court two winning 8-2, while Ana Burjaili and Vivian Polak did the same and court three to clinch the doubles point for the Warhawks.

ULM's freshmen combo of Medy Blankvoort and Letha Gaigher closed out the doubles matches with an 8-4 victory on court one.

The Warhawks had no problems in singles as they swept through all six matches with straight set victories.

Clark, who was leading the No. 2 ranked player in the country last night before her match was called due to darkness, easily dispatched of UTPA's Malin Anderson 6-3, 6-1 on court one to improve her singles record to 40-2 over the past three spring seasons.

Winkel, who is ranked 113^th in the nation, had no issues at No. 2 winning 6-1, 6-2 over Reeta Raty. Polak won a pair of tiebreakers -- 7-6, 7-6 -- to win on court three, while Blankvoort, Gaigher and Burgaili all won 6-0, 6-1 on courts four, five and six.

The Warhawks open the home portion of their spring schedule on Thursday when the host Alcorn State at 2 p.m. at Heard Stadium.
