Polak Claims Flight Championship at SFA Fall Invite

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Vivian Polak led ULM on the final day of the SFA Fall Invite as she cruised past Stephen F. Austin's Julia Lorca 7-5, 6-0 to win the Flight C championship on Saturday.


Sophomore Isabelle Rocher's undefeated run through the fall came to a thrilling end with a three-set loss to SMU's Kris Roberts in the Flight D championship match. After dropped the first set 6-3, Rocher took the second set 6-2 before Roberts won a super-tiebreaker 10-7 in the deciding third set.

Complete results from Flight A and B were not made available by SFA. Monica Winkel was playing for third place in Flight B against Sam Houston State's Tatyana Postnikova, while Medy Blankvoort was scheduled to play TCU's Federica Denti for the backdraw title in Flight A.

In doubles, the tandem of Blankvoort and Winkel split their two matches on Saturday in Flight A, while results from Flight B doubles were not made available.

The Warhawks continue their fall schedule next weekend at the ULL Invitational hosted by Louisiana-Lafayette.
