Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- No. 46 ULM
rolled past Lipscomb 7-0 Monday afternoon at the Huston-Marsh-Griffith Tennis
Center in non-conference tennis action. The Warhawks outscored the Lady Bisons
73-13 in singles as they won for the ninth straight time.
ULM (10-1) swept all three
doubles matches to claim the doubles point for the 10th time this
season. Claire Clark and Monica Winkel worked quickly on court one and improved
to 10-1 on the season with an 8-1 victory. Vivian Polak and Ana Burjaili put
the point on the board for the Warhawks with an 8-2 win on court three. Medy
Blankvoort and Letha Gaigher completed the sweep with an 8-5 win on court one.
In singles, Gaigher, Polak and
Clark all turned in 6-0, 6-0 victories to clinch the victory for the Warhawks. Gaigher's
victory was her ninth straight in singles, while Polak improved 9-2 on the
season and Clark ran her mark to 10-0 this year and 48-2 over the past three
spring seasons.
Winkel ran the score out to
4-0 in ULM's favor with a 6-1, 6-2 victory on court two. Burjaili won her ninth
straight singles match with a 6-2, 6-2 victory on court four and Blankvoort
closed out the match with a 6-1, 7-5 win on court three.
The Warhawks will go for their
10th straight win Tuesday when they take on Sun Belt Conference foe
Middle Tennessee at 11 a.m.
