ULM Warhawks

CHANDLER, Ariz., - Britany Hanna fired a career-low even-par 72 Tuesday morning to lead the ULM women's golf team to shoot 301 and improve four places from yesterday for a ninth place finish in the stacked 23-team field of the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic being played on the par-72, 6,184 yard Ocotillo Golf Resort.

Hanna's even-par 72 defeated her season- and career-low score by four strokes and tied for 39^th overall shooting 232 total, another career-low for 54 holes for her and ranks fifth-lowest for the season. Britney Yada of Portland State won medalist honors after she defeated Northern Colorado's Carleigh Silvers in a scorecard playoff with both finishing at 213 total.

ULM put together 301 in the final round which tied its season-low single-round score despite playing with just four in its lineup after Taynee Pearson had to withdraw due to an injury. It also falls fifth all-time among the lowest single-round scores in the program's five-year history. The Warhawks totaled 962 total to finish in ninth overall.

Portland State cruised to the team title after shooting 290 in the final round for a combined 871 (294-287-290­) while New Mexico State finished 28 strokes back in second with 899 total. BYU finished third after shooting 902 and Texas El Paso and Northern Arizona rounded out the top-five.

Lina Billing was the low Warhawk after equaling her second round score of two-over-par 74 for a combined 225 to move up three spots and tie for 16^th individually. Ali Lucas matched Billing with a 74 to tie for 30^th at 229 total while Lina Lagergren tied for 72^nd after ending with 240 total.

With the conclusion of the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic ULM will begin postseason play in two weeks, Apr. 18-20, when it competes in the Sun Belt Conference Championship being held in Muscle Shoals, Ala.
