Marcie Richard registered a season-best throw
of 43.43 meters to claim her second career conference championship in the women's
javelin over UL-Lafayette's Mayme Cook (43.41 m). Richard was the top ULM finisher in the event

the men's javelin throw, posting a top attempt of 66.38 meters to finish in
third place. McKay also claimed third at
last season's Sun Belt Championships with a top throw of 67.43 meters.

Troy's Larry Henry and UL-Lafayette's Sander Maes, with Henry ultimately taking
home the title.
