JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The ULM track & field team wrapped up
competition at the NCAA East Preliminary Saturday at Hodges Stadium on the campus
of North Florida. The Warhawks finished the weekend with one qualifier (Daniel
Mutai, 10,000m) for the NCAA Championships in Des Moines, Iowa.
ULM had no luck qualifying on Saturday as senior Derek Dark finished 32nd
in the men's shot put with a best mark of 55-7.5 (16.95m) and junior Clint Broussard was unable to clear the
opening height in the men's high jump to earn a no height.
Dark finished his career as a three-time qualifier for the NCAA
Prelims, while Broussard was making his first trip.
