OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- The ULM men's golf team finished third at the Bill Ross Intercollegiate, hosted by the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
The Warhawks posted a 9-over 297 in the final round of the tournament to finish with a score of 882 (297-288-297--882). The team finished 10 strokes behind tournament winner, Central Arkansas. “A third for the team on a long road trip is satisfactory, and that's two events in a row that the guys have been in the final pairing. We are still learning and improving,” coach Walt Williams said.
Charlie Macneal led the Warhawks and ended the tournament in a tie for third after shooting a 3-under 213 (70-72-71--213). ULM's Mason Seaborn and Greg Smail also finished in the top ten, tied for eighth, after shooting a 3-over 219.
The men's team will begin preparations for the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational, scheduled to begin October 28th.
