MONROE, La. -- The University of Louisiana at Monroe Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (S.A.A.C.) has named the President and Officers for the 2013-2014 academic year. Jon Fisher (Football) will lead S.A.A.C. as president, Christina Gray (Women's Basketball) and Adam McCleary (Men's Golf) were named co-vice-presidents, while Mackenzie Miller (Softball) and Ines Fendt (Women's Golf) have been named officers. The five will lead 30 representatives for each of ULM's athletic teams.

“I am extremely excited about our newly appointed SAAC officers,” said Athletic Academic Counselor and Life Skills Coordinator Mike Anderson. “All of them are exceedingly dedicated on the field and in the classroom and are truly passionate about making ULM a great place to be. We appointed five outstanding members to lead this organization and with that leadership, SAAC will look to accomplish a number of projects and services this year both on campus and in the Monroe (LA) community.”

The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee at the University of Louisiana at Monroe is comprised of a select group of student-athletes from each varsity team working to bring about positive change at the institutional and NCAA Division I Athletic level. SAAC offers input on the rules, regulations and polices that affect student-athletes' lives on NCAA member institution campuses. The members are also active in the community, sponsoring community service initiatives as well as organizing student-athlete events and assisting in overall student-athlete well being. All 17 ULM Warhawk NCAA Division I athletic programs are represented on the committee.
