WOODFOREST, Texas. -- ULM's Charlie Macneal won the top spot in individual competition and helped lead the team to a second place finish at the Husky Invitational, hosted by Houston Baptist University.
After heading into the final round in first place, the Warhawks carded a score of 290 to finish the competition in second place. They were just one stroke behind tournament winner, UALR (282-277-285--844).
Macneal shot an even 71 in the final round to close out the win, while Mason Seaborn moved up one spot to tie for second after a strong third round performance. “I'm very proud of the progress these guys are making. They are very talented players and Charlie and Mason had a great week and are very good leaders for our younger guys,” head coach Walt Williams said.
The next tournament for the men's team will be the Bill Ross Intercollegiate, scheduled to begin October 13th.
