Gulf Shores, Ala. -- The ULM men's golf team ended their fall season with another strong second place finish at the ASU Fall Beach Classic, hosted by Arkansas State.
The Warhawks carded a 6-over 294 in the final round of the tournament to finish with a 12-over 876.
Mason Seaborn finished in front for ULM, in a tie for seventh after posting a 3-over 75 in the final round of play. Joining Seaborn in the top ten were Greg Smail and Charlie Macneal; Smail finished the tournament in ninth place with a 2-over 218, while Macneal worked his way up twenty spots to tenth place with a 2-under in the third round to finish with a score of 219.
“The guys played solid in pretty difficult and windy conditions; we finished above four teams ranked ahead of us in Golf Stat and the three other Sun Belt Conference teams competing in the field, so it was a good day, “ coach Walt Williams said, “Mason, Greg, and Charlie all finished in the top ten and all three played an excellent fall. We don't compete again until February so we will work hard in the off season and build off of the successes we've had this fall.”
The Warhawks will return to competition in February to kick-off their spring season.
