Box Score MONROE, La. -- The ULM tennis program suffered a 4-3 defeat against Texas State Saturday afternoon at Heard Stadium.
After dropping the doubles point, the Warhawks (3-4) got on the board with victories at the top two singles flights. Medy Blankvoort took the top position 6-2, 7-5 over Jessica Kahts while Sophie Rufyikiri came in with a 6-1, 6-0 triumph at the second flight against Texas State's (5-2) Monica Pieratt.
Blankvoort and Rufyikiri also combined for ULM's lone doubles win at the number one position to go undefeated on the day.
Petra Horakova picked up a singles win at the number four position.
The Warhawks return to action Sunday, March 9, for a home contest against UT Arlington. First serve is at 11 a.m.
