Box Score MONROE, La. -- The ULM tennis program capped its season-long five match home stand with a 4-1 victory over Arkansas State Friday afternoon at Raymond Heard Stadium.
The Warhawks set the tone early by capturing the doubles point. Medy Blankvoort and Angela Tejedor teamed up for an 8-0 victory at the third flight. Later, Sophie Rufyikiri and Petra Horakova needed a tiebreaker to capture the top flight, 8-7 (7-3).
Blankvoort, Rufyikiri and Horakova took the top three singles matches to seal the ULM victory. Blankvoort and Horakova each surrendered just four total games across the two sets. Horakova took the number three singles 6-2, 6-2 while Blankvoort won her top flight draw, 6-1, 6-3.
The Warhawks begin a four-match road trip Mar. 21 at Georgia State. ULM will also battle USC Upstate while in Atlanta.
