ATLANTA -- Zuzana Markova and Marcela Araya posted a third place finish in the gold bracket Sunday while Hope Pawlik and Blanca Ocana placed fifth.
Markova and Araya forced a deciding third set against Pepperdine's Kelley Larsen and Kellie Wollever, but the Waves' duo clinched the tiebreaker and eventually went on to win in an all-Pepperdine final
Pawlik and Ocana took their match in the Round of 16 before falling to Pepperdine's Lara Dykstra and Becca Strehlow in the quarterfinals. Dykstra and Strehlow went on to finish second in the gold bracket
The Warhawks return to action Thursday for their home opener against UAB. The match will take place on the sand volleyball courts, located behind Raymond Heard Stadium. Admission is free. First serve is slated for 2 p.m
