CHOUDRANT, La. -- The ULM men's golf team finished play in the Argent Financial Classic, hosted by Louisiana Tech, in seventh place.
ULM carded a 301 in the second round of competition to finish ahead of six strong teams, including Sun Belt schools UALR and Arkansas State.
“We started out really well this morning and moved up early then played poorly on the finishing holes and fell back to seventh,” head coach Walt Williams said, “we will practice smart this week and get ready for the Border Olympics.”
Warhawks Calum Hill, Charlie Macneal and Velten Meyer all placed in the top 20 of an individual leaderboard that featured 73 golfers.
“Calum had a nice tourney with a top-10 finish and will learn from being in the hunt,” said Williams.
The men's team will travel to Texas for their next tournament, the Border Olympics, which is scheduled to begin March 14th.
