TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- ULM's top tandem of Zuzana Markova and Marcela Araya paced the Warhawk sand volleyball program in pool play at the Florida State Pairs Challenge.
Araya and Markova posted a perfect 3-0 record, defeating duos from Florida State, South Carolina and Georgia State in 2-0 sweeps. The Seminoles and the Panthers rank fourth and 10th in the most recent AVCA Sand Volleyball Top 10 poll, respectively.
Warhawk pairs Hadley Swartz and Hope Pawlik and Alannah Cullum and Rachel Arnason both posted a 1-2 record on the day. Each tandems' wins came against the Gamecocks.
All five ULM pairs will be seeded into bracket play tomorrow to determine a champion.
