CALHOUN, La. – Freshman Olivia Landberg aced the par-3 second while freshman Ashton Maddaloni and junior Devanshi Naik shot six-over 78s to wrap up the final day of the Fred Marx Invitational Tuesday at Calvert Crossing Golf Course.
Landberg's hole-in-one in the final round marked the only eagle of the tournament as she tied for fourth with a 2-over average on par 3s for the tournament. Naik tied for third in birdies with five and Maddaloni tied for sixth in pars with six. Maddaloni additionally tied for third in par-4 scoring with a 10-over.
Maddaloni was the highest ULM finisher, tying for 12th at 22-over. Naik and Landberg followed with 247 (+31 | T26) and 249 (+33 | T29) respectively. Junior Michaela Osborne shot a 40-over 256 while fellow junior RaeChelle Leiken rounded out the Warhawks with a 46-over 262. ULM's lineup combined for 15 birdies on the weekend.
ULM finished the weekend in eighth place at 122-over. The squad recorded its best round of the weekend Tuesday at 322 (+34).
Lamar's Taylor Stockton shot an even 72 in the final round to force a sudden death playoff with teammate Wenny Chang. Chang, however, emerged as the individual medalist after birdieing the 18th on the second go-round while Stockton settled with a par. The duo also lifted the Cardinals to a team title.
