MONROE, La. – ULM head women's golf coach Heather Holte announced the signing of Angela Tocco Tuesday.

Tocco is a Blauvelt, N.Y., native who plays for the boys team at Tappen Zee High School (Orangeburg, N.Y.) because there is not a girls team. She was First Team All-Conference and Team MVP last year as a junior. Adding to her accolades, Tocco was also the low medalist at sectionals last season.

"I chose ULM because it was a great fit for me both academically and athletically,” Tocco said. “It's going to be amazing to experience a completely new culture and being able to play 12 months of the year will benefit my game so much. I cannot wait to be down there and play for coach Holte as a Warhawk.”

Tocco was the individual medalist at the 2014 Fall Future Series (East Meadow, N.Y.), 2015 Spring Future Series (East Meadow, N.Y.), 2015 Kentucky Summer Classic (Richmond, Ky.) and 2015 MET PGA Tour Championship (Aug. 2015, Sands Point, N.Y.).

She also notched top-5 finishes in the 2014 Spring Future Series (East Meadow, N.Y.), 2014 Fall Future Series (Farmingdale, N.Y.), 2014 Major Championship at Bethpage (Farmingdale, N.Y.) and 2015 Junior Classic (Smithtown, N.Y.).
