Box Score MONROE, La. – Sophie Rufyikiri and Letha Gaigher both garnered wins on Senior Day as the ULM tennis team captured a dominating 6-1 victory over Arkansas State on Wednesday afternoon in Heard Stadium.
The Warhawks (14-6, 4-3 SBC) swept the Red Wolves (3-12, 0-6 SBC) to earn the doubles point. Jana Duhanova and Amy Olivier defeated Tamara Slijepcevic and Sabina Jeresic 8-3 on court one, while Petra Horakova and Rufyikiri beat Sofia Krsmanovic and Chiara Stefanov 8-5 on court two. Caitlin Herb and Gaigher then captured an 8-7 victory over Jess Heeps-Eriksen and Julie Gauguery on court three.
ULM also collected five singles wins as Herb topped ASU's Gauguery 6-1, 6-1 on court one, while Petra Horakova collected a 6-0, 6-1 win over Victoria Pisani on court two. Rufyikiri won 6-1, 6-4 over Arkansas State's Jeresic on court four.
Duhanova garnered a 6-3, 6-1 victory over ASU's Heeps-Eriksen on court five, while Gaigher beat Arkansas State's Stefanov 6-2, 6-1 on court six.
