Box Score JACKSON, Miss. -- ULM continued its dominant start to the season with a 6-1 win at Jackson State on Thursday afternoon.
The Warhawks are 6-0 for the first time since 2013 and did so with five 6-0 sets in singles.
Luana Stanciu and Tiffany Mylonas got ULM on the right track with a 6-1 win in doubles, improving their record to 5-1 together.
Pauline Van Herck also took part in her first two wins of the season, joining up with teammate Ioana Popescu for the first time (winning 6-3 in doubles) before cruising past Julie Angermann in the second set of singles, 7-5, 6-1.
Popescu was also the first to finish in singles, shutting out her opponent on the No. 6 court. Her (4-0), Mylonas (6-0) and Stanciu (6-0) all stayed perfect while not letting their opponent get a second point in any set.
ULM will return home for a recently-scheduled match with Grambling State at 3 p.m.
