Box Score MONROE, La. -- Tiffany Mylonas' three-set victory was the deciding factor as ULM defeated McNeese State 4-3 on Friday afternoon.
The Warhawks (2-0) have now won their last 10 home openers.
Mylonas defeated Sarah Jurakova 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 to end the day, sending all of her teammates out from the adjoining court to celebrate.
"I felt the pressure because I knew it was 3-3, but I was so focused," Mylonas said. "As I heard them, I got more confident."
Mylonas and Luana Stanciu won 6-4 over McNeese State's Sarah Jurakova and Vivien Borbely, but ULM dropped the other two for an early deficit.
Stanciu and Ioana Popescu also joined Mylonas, who also ended the fall with three straight wins, as 2-0 singles competitors for the year.
ULM hits the road again this weekend for a Sunday 1 p.m. tilt at Central Arkansas.
