COLUMBIA, S.C. – The altered four-slot of sophomore Claire Crossfield and freshman Tara Jenkins picked up a point against Florida Atlantic as the ULM beach volleyball squad split its final two matches of the Carolina Classic on Wheeler Beach.
FAU 4, ULM 1
The Warhawks' top-three duos fell by two points in the deciding set, and Crossfield and Jenkins were able to get the point by taking the final two sets.

“Today was much better from an overall energy and effort standpoint,” ULM head beach volleyball coach Patrick Hiltz said. “To lose three matches by two points in the third (set) is tough. A couple of points here and there, and it could have been us winning 3-2 or 4-1. FAU is a good team. These are the type of matches we need to find the confidence and discipline to push through and win. It'll be nice to get a full week of practice in before we head to Atlanta and Jacksonville State to start our spring break trip.”
ULM 5, JSU 0
The Warhawks (2-7) were able to sweep the Gamecocks in straight sets in all five duels.
