Women?s Golf Wraps Up Play at SBC Championships

MIRIMAR BEACH, Fla. – Junior Devanshi Naik ended the season on a high note as she led the women's golf squad with a 7-over 78 on the final day of play at the Raven Tuesday in the Sun Belt Conference Championships.  

Naik's final round consisted of 11 pars and seven bogeys, shooting 4-over through her first nine holes and 3-over on her final nine. Freshman Ashton Maddaloni followed at 8-over and recorded the lone birdie of the day for ULM on the par-5 seventh. Maddaloni's final score of +23 marked the lowest on the team and placed her in a two-way tie for 23rd.

Freshman Olivia Landberg finished 31st at 29-over after a final-round 9-over. She was 4-over after 13 holes but struggled on the par-4 fifth, holing out in nine strokes. Freshman Scarlett Eaton's 12-over also contributed to the team's total. Eaton scored 9-over on the back nine, where she started the day, and ended on the front nine where she shot just 3-over.

Junior Michaela Osborne placed 36th after shooting 16-over.

Maddaloni ended the tournament shooting even on par 3s which ranked in a two-way tie for second. Osborne's 1-over on par 5s also ranked in a tie for second. The Warhawks concluded the event with 138 pars and six birdies. ULM's team score of 111-over was good for a ninth-place finish.
