MONROE, La. – Jacob Stockton from the ULM baseball program was named Warhawk Male of the Week, and Ashton Maddaloni from the women's golf team was selected Warhawk Female of the Week, announced Wednesday morning.
Stockton hit a crisp .556 during ULM's series win over Georgia State. Saturday night's 14-0 win saw him record an RBI double in a seven-run third inning, then single in the fifth and sixth frames. He drove in three runs for the fourth time on the year.
The fifth-year senior from Tioga, La. also went 1-for-2 with two walks in the Friday and Sunday contests. Stockton leads the squad with a .287 batting average and 26 walks.
Maddaloni, from Eclectic, Ala., was ULM's top finisher at the 2016 Sun Belt Conference Championships as she placed in a two-way tie for 23rd after scoring 23-over. The freshman recorded two of the Warhawks' six birdies and ranked in a two-way tie for second in par-3 scoring at an even 3. Maddaloni also posted ULM's lowest round of the tournament, a second-round 77.
