NEW ORLEANS - No. 48 Georgia State was too much for the ULM tennis team on Friday morning, winning 6-1 and concluding the Warhawks' season in the Sun Belt Championship Quarterfinals.

ULM finished 13-6-1, its fifth season out of the past six in which it finished with at least that many wins. The squad also competed with a freshman-only lineup the entire spring, while ranking as high as No. 72 nationally by the ITA.

The Warhawks reached the quarterfinals for the fourth time in the past five years and sixth of the previous eight. The squad was forced to play with five members for the weekend due to injuries.

Tiffany Mylonas, who finished 16-3 on the fall, was not able to finish her match despite holding a 6-3, 2-1 lead there. Her and Luana Stanciu, the team's top doubles pair, fell for just the third time all spring (14 matches). Patricia Villar's singles defeat was just her third dating back to Feb. 7 (17 matches).

Pauline Van Herck took a 3-2 lead on Linn Timmermann, one of the Sun Belt's top performers of the past three years.
