BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The ULM beach volleyball team posted a 1-1 record Satuday at the Blazer Beach Duels inside UAB's Beach Courts.
The Warhawks (7-9) opened up with a 5-0 sweep over New Orleans before dropping a 4-1 dual to host UAB.
“I felt we were flat all day,” ULM head beach volleyball coach Patrick Hiltz said. “We struggled to get going this morning but once we warmed up we looked fine. This afternoon the win picked up and it really looked like it bothered us more than UAB. We were unable to take advantage of shots that we knew were open. Our ball control really failed us in the end.”
ULM 5, UNO 0
The Warhawks took this one in dominating fashion with all but one pair winning 2-0.

Order of finish: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
“I do have to say that Kaitlyn and Delaney played well in only their second match together and Becca [Brown] and Jen [McClendon] just keep plugging along at the sixes and keep finding ways to win,” Hiltz said. “That being said, It's still a very disappointing loss. Hopefully we can rebound tomorrow and get back on track.”
