Event: Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival
Location: Fayetteville, Arkansas
Monroe, La. – The ULM cross country team is set to run in the 28th annual Chile Pepper Festival on Saturday morning. The two teams will look to build off a successful beginning to the season where the men have won both meets and the women finished first and second this year.
NOTABLES
-The Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival features representation at the collegiate level from 17 states which includes Arkansas, Texas, Nevada, Massachusetts and even South Dakota.
-In last year's Chile Pepper event a year ago the Warhawks finished 15th in the men's and 17th in the women's in an event that was just as full as this year's event.
-The top returning Warhawks men's runner is now sophomore Elias Keter paced the men in the 8K race with a time of 26:21.50 to finish 186 out of 465 collegiate runners in all divisions.
-While the women's team top returner in this event is Colby Carey who last year ran her personal best of 21:33.11 which still stands as her personal best early on this season.

-ULM following the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival will begin preparation for the Watson Ford Invitational. The Warhawks will run in this event on Friday Oct. 7 in Clinton, Mississippi.
