Fort Worth, Texas – The ULM tennis team closed its opening weekend with a win on Sunday against UTEP as they won three of five singles matches over the Miners.
NOTABLES
-The Warhawks won their three matches on Sunday with two of them coming in dominant fashion. Petra Horakova and Madalina Grigoriou both won in two sets, 6-0, 6-0 and 6-1, 6-0, respectively. Tiffany Mylonas also won her match on Sunday, going into a third set to finish the win off as she won 2-6, 6-1, 6-2.
-The Warhawks also had Stefana Andrei and Patricia Villar on the courts on Sunday however they were unable to come up victorious. Andrei lost her three-setter, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, while Villar fell 6-3, 6-4 in her match.
UP NEXT
-ULM will then get set for the first home match of the season when Alcorn State comes to Monroe on Thursday at Heard Stadium.
