Auburn, Ala. – The ULM tennis team came up short in sweeping the weekend as they battled the No. 15 Auburn to a 4-1 loss on Sunday morning in Auburn. Petra Horakova got the Warhawks lone point on Sunday.
NOTABLES
-In No. 1 singles, Stefana Andrei battled tough with No. 13-ranked singles player in the ITA rankings Alizee Michaud. Andrei fell 7-6(8-6), 6-2. In doubles action Andrei paired with Petra Horakova had a DNF in their doubles matchup.Horakova played in the No. 4 spot in singles action winning 6-2, 6-3 to get the Warhawks their lone point this afternoon.
-Villar played the No. 2 spot in singles action and fell 6-0,6-4. In No. 3 singles, Tiffany Mylonas had a DNF in her singles action this afternoon while falling 6-1 paired with Luana Stanciu in doubles action.
-In the No. 5 singles spot, Madalina Grigoriu fell 7-6(7-2), 6-2 in singles action while the No. 6 spot was held by Grigoriu's doubles teammate Karolina Snita who didn't finish their matchup. Grigoriu and Snita fell 6-2 in doubles action
-The Warhawks fall to 4-6 all-time against the Tigers as they have now lost two in a row to the SEC foe.
