MONROE, La. – ULM's Director of Golf Tim Baldwin has announced the addition of Denmark standout Line Petersen to the 2019-20 women's golf roster.
"We are very pleased to sign Line to an athletic scholarship in 2019-20 at ULM," said Baldwin. "She is one of the best young female players in Denmark at the moment, and I believe she will do very well at ULM and add to the culture of success both on and off the golf course."
Petersen is currently playing off a 1.7 handicap and ranks as the No. 15 female amateur in Denmark. The highlight of her career so far has been her second-place finish in the Danish National Strokeplay Championship, shooting 220.
"Line has a great sense of the game and maintains a strong focus while she's playing," Baldwin said. "Her strengths include her short game and solid long-game fundamentals, both of which will help us as a team next season."
"I selected University of Louisiana at Monroe because I really like Coach Baldwin's ambitions with the team," said Petersen. "ULM is a great place for me to get an education and provides me with a lot of options in regards to what I want to study. I chose ULM because it wasn't too big and will surely feel like home for me for the next four years."
