RUSTON, La. – Today marked the 33rd time in the history of the I-20 rivals series that the ULM Warhawks and the Lady Techsters of Louisiana Tech met on the tennis courts, and with a 4-3 victory in the bag, the Warhawks are headed home with their 32nd series win.

The teams were knotted up at three points each when Karolina Silwanowickz defeated Lady Techster Angela Lorenzo during singles competition, for the win (3-6, 7-6, 6-1).

Tech (5-5) would earn the doubles point early in the afternoon, claiming 6-2 wins in the first two finishes.

ULM (7-4) bounced back in singles play, as Stefana Andrei earned the Warhawk's first point with a (6-2, 6-2) win over Karla Montalvo of Louisiana Tech.

Sophomore Madalina Grigoriu gave ULM the lead when she took down Lady Techster Andrea Perez in straight sets, including a final set shutout (6-3, 6-0).

The Lady Techsters would claim the win on court five and three, but ULM's Karolina Snita did work on court two, defeating Tech's Nadja Manjon (6-1, 6-4). Snita's win would give the Warhawks their third point before Silwanowickz clinched the fourth and final point against Lorenzo.
