MONROE, La. – Head coach Terrance De Jongh and his 7-4 ULM Warhawks are back in action this Friday (Mar.23) and Sunday (Mar.25) as they take on UT Arlington and Louisiana- Lafayette respectively. Senior
Stefana Andrei will be celebrated for her years of dedication to ULM Tennis prior to Sunday's match.
The Mavericks (5-4) will be on the road for the third time this season, finishing 3-2 overall in their previous road matches. UTA most recently hosted Georgia State and Troy on its home court, defeating the Panthers (4-3) but falling to the Trojans in the same manner (4-3).
UTA is led by freshman Lucia Natal, who through 15 contests is undefeated (7-0) in singles play. Sophomore Warhawk
Karolina Snita defeated Natal back in the fall, at SMU's Metroplex Mania (6-2, 6-3), before then, ULM and UTA have not met since 2016 when the Hawks fell to the Mavericks (4-0).
On Sunday, ULM will face in-state rival Louisiana-Lafayette at 10 a.m. The Ragin Cajuns (10-6), are on a two-week hiatus, after a mid-week match-up against Jackson State was postponed on Tuesday (Mar.20). Louisiana-Lafayette most recently faced No.69 Houston on the road (Mar.12), falling to the Cougars 4-0.
In doubles play, ULL is led by Floriane Picaut and Dana Radovanovic, who have compiled a 9-3 overall record on the court this season.
The Warhawks faced the Ragin Cajun's last season, defeating ULL 4-0 with wins from two former Hawks and sophomore
Madalina Grigoriu in singles play. Senior
Stefana Andrei and her partner took down Ragin Cajun's Lucile Delabarre and Abby Johnson during doubles play (6-2) as she helped guide the Warhawks to the shut-out win.
