MONROE, La. – The ULM Beach Volleyball team will travel to Fort Worth this weekend for a round robin tournament hosted by TCU.
"This is the first time in a very long time that we're getting to compete in the offseason," assistant volleyball coach Kayla Armer said. "The girls are super excited to have this opportunity."
The Warhawks will be joined by the host Horned Frogs, Houston Baptist University and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
"We've been working really hard this offseason," Armer said. "We're excited to see some other teams and we'll be able to come back with strengths and weaknesses."
The team will be split into six pairs and will compete throughout the day. Pair five will kick off the ULM games at 10:50 a.m. Pairs one, three and five will wrap things up with their last game starting at 4:40 p.m.
The Warhawks welcomed five newcomers to the team during the offseason, four freshmen and one transfer.
"Everybody will get a chance to compete," Armer said. "This will be the first real chance to see the newcomers in a game situation."
