MONROE, La. – ULM director of golf Tim Baldwin Thursday afternoon announced the signing of Liam Duncan for the 2020-21 season.
Duncan, a native of Kirkcaldy, Scotland, currently attends New Mexico Junior College in Hobbs, N.M.
"I am pleased to announce the recent signing of Liam Duncan for 2020-21," Baldwin said. "Liam is an outstanding prospective student-athlete. He is currently ranked 10th in the NJCAA national individual rankings with a 71.18 stroke average. Liam is very accurate off the tee and has a bright future in the game. He shot 61 this past summer in the Scottish Amateur and led the 2019 NJCAA National Championships after two consecutive 67's. We were very impressed with Liam throughout the recruiting process as he fits the mold of what we look for in young men that will continue to grow our program."
Duncan said his three biggest accomplishments include shooting a course record 61 (8-under-par) in the Scottish Amateur Championship, winning back-to-back Junior and Youth Match Play championships for his county of Fife, Scotland, and being ranked 10th nationally by the NJCAA.
"ULM gives me the chance to play with the best golf teams in the country," Duncan said. "It is the best place for me to pursue my goal of becoming a professional golfer and with a degree to back it up, it's second to none."
Duncan joins recent signees Mikkel Schmitt and Cody Winkler on the 2020-21 Warhawk men's golf roster.
