DADE CITY, Fla. – Olivia Landberg wrapped up the opening two rounds of the Spring Break Shootout with a 1-over-par 143 and sits in a tie for 13th while helping the ULM women's golf team climb into ninth on the leaderboard on Monday, March 11.
 
Landberg's day began with a 5-over-par 76, but the senior fired an impressive 4-under 67 and sits six shots off the pace established by Florida Gulf Coast's Ailsa Clark, who carded a 5-under-par 137 (67-70). The second-round 67 marked Landberg's lowest score of her career (previous top score of 72 came in the 2016 John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate, hosted by Georgia State).
 
The Warhawks sit in ninth place as a team after an 18-over-par score of 586 (298-288), which leaves them 15 shots off the pace set by Troy, which closed with a 3-over-par 571 (291-280). Florida Gulf Coast is in second, just one shot behind the Trojans at 4-over-par 572 (281-291).
 
"It was a nice afternoon for the ladies, shooting our best team round of the year," ULM Director of Golf Tim Baldwin said. "Kudos to Olivia Landberg for shooting her personal-best 67 (4-under par) with no bogies in competition. We are in good position to move into the Top 5 with a solid round tomorrow."
 
Sophomore Eva Bjornsdottir also is listed among the Top 40 competitors in the field, locked in a five-way tie for 31st, after shooting a 6-over-par 148 that included scores of 75 and 73. Teammate Jahaanvie Walia is one of three players tied for 36th with a 7-over-par 149 (75-74).
 
Junior Shani White opened the day with a 72 but managed a 79 in the second round and heads into the third round tied for 45th with a 9-over-par score of 151.
 
Senior Scarlett Eaton rounded out the scorecard for the Warhawks with a 15-over-par 157 (83-74).
 
The Spring Break Shootout, co-hosted by Western Kentucky and Florida Gulf Coast, concludes on Tuesday, March 12 with the Warhawks beginning play at 8:30 a.m. ET.
