STOCKBRIDGE, Ga.
– The ULM women's golf team is in 13th-place after two rounds of play at the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate, a three-day tournament hosted by Georgia State, which heads into the final day of play on Tuesday, April 2.
 
ULM, which is 61-over-par with a score of 637 (321-316), sits nine shots behind Sun Belt Conference rival Appalachian State, which has carded a 52-over-par 628 (318-310). South Florida and Murray State, which are both 20-over-par, share the team lead with a 596.
 
The top individual for the Warhawks is sophomore Jahaanvie Walia, who is in a three-way tie for 35th-place with a 13-over-par score of 157. Walia opened the tournament with an 81 Sunday and followed with a 79 on Monday. Walia, who tallied eight pars and one birdie on Sunday, emerged with 13 pars and a birdie on the third hole in 18 holes on Monday, moving up 18 spots on the leaderboard.
 
Junior Shani White is one stroke behind her ULM teammate with a 14-over-par 158 (79-79) after two rounds. White posted nine pars and a birdie in the first round of the tournament and managed 12 pars in her second round, making her the only Warhawk with two sub-80 rounds.
 
Sophomore Eva Bjornsdottir, who fired a 78 in the first round, came through with an 81 on Monday to leave her 15-over-par with a 159, where she is locked in a tie for 43rd. Bjornsdottir came through with nine pars and a team-best two birdies in the opening round before recording seven pars and a pair of birdies on Monday.
 
Senior Olivia Landberg is in a four-way tie for 66th with a 20-over-par 164 (84-80). Landberg carded nine pars in the first round and shaved four strokes off that by coming through with nine pars and two birdies on Monday. The two birdies tied Bjornsdottir for the second-most second-round birdies by a Warhawk golfer.
 
Scarlett Eaton, who is in a five-way tie for 70th, completes the ULM scorecard with a 21-over-par 165 (83-82). The senior's opening round consisted of 10 pars, but Eaton found her rhythm in the second round and emerged with five pars and a team-best three birdies. After recording her first birdie of the second round on 13th green, Eaton followed with back-to-back birdies at the sixth and seventh holes.
 
The top spot on the individual leaderboard belongs to Jacksonville State's Paula Vega, who sits at 1-over-par 145 (73-72) through two rounds. She has a one-shot lead over South Florida's Natalia Villavicencio and Murray State's Linette Holmslykke, who each have carded 146 through two rounds.
 
The three-day event concludes on Tuesday, April 2.
