Griffith, Sellers Qualify for USA Volleyball Collegiate Beach Championships

MONROE, La. – ULM seniors Catherine Griffith and Maile Sellers, who compiled a 22-9 record as the team's No. 2 pairing, have been selected to compete in the USA Volleyball Collegiate Beach Championships, scheduled for May 8-11 in Hermosa Beach, California.
 
Griffith and Sellers, one of 21 pairs chosen to participate in the May 8 Qualifier Tournament, are the No. 33 seed overall. A total of 45 pairs will compete in the four-day event, with the top 24 seeds beginning play in the Main Draw Tournament on May 9.
 
Griffith and Sellers (No. 96) are currently ranked among the nation's Top 100 Pablo beach pairs. ULM's senior duo closed out the regular season by winning four of their last five matches. Griffith and Sellers put together a pair of seven-match winning streaks during the 2019 season.
