MONROE, La. – The ULM women's cross country team was recently named an All-Academic Team by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). It is the fourth consecutive season the Warhawk women's cross country team has earned the award.
"Once again, our athletes show that they are truly student-athletes," ULM head coach J.D. Malone said. "They work just as hard in the classroom as they do running. To achieve this was a total team effort."
The Warhawks were honored for posting a team GPA of 3.02. In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction from the USTFCCCA, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period. Overall, there were 237 women's teams that received All-Academic honors in NCAA Division I.
