MONROE, La. – The ULM tennis team will make a quick turnaround from Sunday's 5-2 home victory over Lamar and head to Nacogdoches, Texas, on Tuesday, February 9 to face Stephen F. Austin in a 1 p.m. match. It is the first of two matches this week for the Warhawks, who host Grambling State on Saturday, Feb. 13.
ULM, which picked up its first win of the 2021 spring season on Sunday afternoon, will square off against a Stephen F. Austin squad that is 5-1 overall and riding a three-match winning streak. The streak began with a 4-0 victory over Grambling State (Jan. 31) and continued with wins against Texas State (4-1) and UT Rio Grande Valley (6-1) on Friday and Saturday, respectively.

Madalina Grigoriu ran her singles match winning streak to 10 straight with a 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 win over Lamar's Ana Jolic in No. 4 singles action.
The top singles player on the Stephen F. Austin roster is Paula Cerda, who is 4-1 overall with all of her wins coming as the No. 1 seed. Zala Ule is second with a 3-1 mark, all from the No. 2 seed. Ule has teamed with Ai Noa Fabre to earn a perfect 6-0 mark in doubles play for the Ladyjacks.
