DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.
– The ULM women's golf team enters Tuesday's final round of the 2021 Sun Belt Conference Championship in eighth place with two competitors, sophomore Chantal Dueringer and freshman Alessia Mengoni, inside the Top 20 on the individual leaderboard after 36 holes at the LPGA International Hills Course in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Dueringer and Mengoni are tied for 17th at the conclusion of the second round with a 5-over-par 149. Dueringer capped off the second round with a 4-over-par 76 and was one of three ULM players to record that score. Her scorecard included birdies at the eighth and 17th greens along with 10 pars.

Mengoni's 2-over-par 74 was the lowest second round total of any Warhawk on the course on Monday. She drained a team-best three birdies, which came on the third, eighth and 14th greens, to go along with 10 pars.

ULM equaled its first-round score of 302 in the second round, moving down one spot to eighth with a combined score of 28-over-par 604.

Coastal Carolina fired a 10-under-par 278 Monday to move atop the team leaderboard with a 14-under 562 after 36 holes. The Chanticleers own an eight-shot lead over Texas State (279-291 – 570). CCU's pair of Sophia Carlsen (7-under-par 137) and Nicole Abelar (5-under-par 139) sit atop the individual leaderboard in first and second, respectively.

"It was another tough day for us," ULM assistant coach Lana Hodge said. "No one really played bad; we just didn't make many putts. We had some bogeys, but there were no doubles or worse today, which is always nice. There is a lot for us to build on going into our final round."

Junior Eva Bjornsdottir is tied for 31st through two rounds with a 9-over-par 153. Bjornsdottir, who carded a 5-over-par 77 Monday, finished the second round with 11 pars and a birdie at the ninth hole.

ULM senior Shani White, who fired a second-round 76, is tied for 34th at 10-over-par 154 after 36 holes. White opened Monday with a birdie at the 10th hole and recorded 12 pars on the day.

Junior Jahaanvie Walia climbed three spots on the individual leaderboard into a tie for 41st after recording a 4-over-par 76. Walia, who has a combined score of 12-over-par 156 through two rounds, posted a birdie at No. 11 to go along with 12 pars on Monday.

ULM will tee off at 7:45 a.m. on Tuesday, April 20 to start the final round of the Sun Belt Conference Championship.
